INVADING DARKNESS, FIGHTING, CONQUERING AND TAKING OVER
The believer and the Church are called not only to be defensive but offensive as well. The believer and the Body of Christ have an inheritance in God to enjoy. It is not only God’s responsibility for us to possess and enjoy our inheritance. It is equally our responsibility to know what is rightfully ours as children of God and possess it; we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (see Rom. 8:14-16).
The dominion of darkness knows we have an inheritance in God and will try everything it can to hinder us from possessing it and enjoying it. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (EMPHASIS MINE, AMPLIFIED). As children of God, we must know what is rightfully ours to possess or repossess it in order to enjoy it. We are no longer slaves but children of God
“----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have been set free from fear in all its forms and have been given the right to be called children of God. We are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ to enjoy and experience heaven on earth.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------”
The dominion of darkness is forceful and not gentle in advancing its agenda. The kingdom of God is also forceful and more powerful than the dominion of darkness.
Matthew 11: 12 From the time of John the Baptist until now, violent people have been trying to take over the kingdom of heaven by force.

Matthew 11: 12 From the time of John the Baptizer until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people have been seizing it.

We, therefore, need to develop a mentality of warfare to possess our inheritance and a mentality of rest to enjoy our inheritance. As kingdom citizens, in order to possess our inheritance, we need to put on the full armor of God and forcefully advance against the enemy to fight, overcome and take back what he has stolen. Scripture records true events of men and women of faith who had to invade the camp of the enemy to recover what the enemy stole from them.
David and his men lost their family and possessions because their enemies invaded their camp, kidnapped their family members and took away their possessions. However, after enquiring of the Lord, David mobilized his angry and discouraged men to pursue the enemy and recover what was rightfully theirs (see 1 Sam. 30: 1-31).
· The people in the city of Samaria were dying of hunger because of a famine. However, four lepers invaded the camp of the enemy and with the help of the Lord, the city of Samaria was delivered from starvation and the lepers partook of God’s great deliverance. This supernatural occurrence was declared through prophetic revelation and utterance by the prophet, Elisha (see 2 Kings 7:1-20).
